  11. To install Assassin on your HD, first copy the directory 'Assassin' whereever you want,
  12. then go into this directory and double-click the Install-Assassin icon.
  13. You'll be prompted to insert the original Assassin disks and the contents of those
  14. disks will be copied on your HD.
  15.  
  16. To play Assassin, then, double-click the AssassinHD icon.
  17. The game will load.

  23. - Convenient installer script
  24. - Original in-game keys activated (levelskip, weapons)
  25. - Trainer tooltype: infinte energy and infinite lives
  26. - Runs even from a standard A1200
  27. - Load/Save highscores from hard disk
  28. - Possible quit with F10 key at any time
  29. - Removes copy-protection check
  30. - Now uses FastMemory, in a clean way (AllocMem)

  32. If you installed the game before, please rename the 2 disk files into assassin.d1
  33. and assassin.d2. This can be useful for people who want to carry the files through
  34. UAE or any PC platform.
  35.  
  36. Note: Be careful not using copyback disk caches on your game partition, because of the
  37. in-game high-score saving routine. If the screen remains black and the drive led
  38. stays lit, press the F10 key and the game will quit without harm. Do not reset in
  39. that case, because you could damage your hard-disk structure (but exactly as if
  40. you reset during a file copy in the workbench...)
  41. I use a write-through disk cache with this program and everything runs fine.

  43. Use NOOSSWAP to disable load/save scores on HD (disables HDLOAD also)

  46. Original in-game keys:
  47.   '1-6'___________Go to corresponding level with infinite energy.
  48.   'W'_____________________Gives you maximum weapon configuration (not the boomerangs)
  49.   'E'____________Takes you straight to the end of level guardian.
  50.   'C'__________________________________Grants infinite continues.

  52. The "ACEVIEWFROMUPHEREMATE" cheat is useless here. Moreover, this cheat
  53. gave you infinite energy with in-game keys. I thought it was better
  54. to set infinite energy only with the trainer mode. So you can
  55. try the different levels in real conditions.
  56. The original trainer did not enable infinite lives neither, that could be
  57. annoying when you fall on spikes or electrical wires.
  58. I added this feature too (maybe it's useless with infinite continues).

  61. On the high score table, enter one of the following:
  62. "ASSASSIN", "THE ONE THE ONLY", "SUPERFROG", "ALIEN BREED", 
  63. "PROJECT X", "PSIONIC SYSTEMS".  Enter "MIDAN" to continue from
  64. where you left off.

  66. The highscore table is not updated at once when you load the scores.
  67. You have to play first (like in the original. That's a bug...)
  68. The LOAD HIGH SCORE option is useless as my program loads them
  69. just before the introduction. But it works...
